In today’s uncertain and changing
world, the Self-Adhesive labels
industry is constantly evolving, yet
Self-Adhesive materials still remain
the most versatile product decoration
choice.
For the 2014 FINAT TECHNICAL
SEMINAR we will be exploring the
subject of “REDESIGNING THE
LABEL”. This will include a review of
the current technology and market for
Self-Adhesive labels as well as
technological trends in the raw
materials, label construction, printing,
converting and applications for
Self-Adhesive labels.
The one and a half day seminar (in
English with simultaneous translation in
German, French and Spanish) is
designed to give an update on issues
relating to legislation, materials
science, converting technology and
end applications for labels and is
targeted at all levels of the technical
community from R&D or production to
technical directors & executives. These
topics will all be presented by expert
speakers, who aim to offer delegates
input which can be used in their own
companies to create more efficient and
profitable future business.
The FINAT Technical Committee is
asking the Self-Adhesive industry to
submit papers for the 2014 Technical
Seminar to share with the industry the
state of the art today and your latest
developments in Self-Adhesive
technology that will redesign the label
of the future.
In this respect, we are looking for
papers covering the entire supply
chain:
• pre-press operations
• raw materials/substrates
• coating
• label manufacturing
• printing
• converting
• label design and use
Whilst the organising committee will
consider papers from all points of the
value chain, priority will be given to
most interesting propositions
regarding label end-use and converting
innovations. Papers will be required to
have an absolute minimum of
commercial aspect and need to have a
real scientific content that will appeal
to the audience who are typically from
a technical environment.
If you want to take up the challenge to
show how our industry is evolving or
can evolve to meet tomorrow’s
challenges then please send your
proposal to info@FINAT.com before 1
June 2013, marking your email ‘FINAT
Technical Seminar 2014’ and containing
the title of the paper and a short
abstract (400-500 words) detailing the
content and technical nature of the
presentation. The organising commit-
tee will review all proposals before
deciding on a final programme in order
to give a comprehensive and balanced
content. Furthermore, we will invite
certain speakers to give us a more
detailed abstract which could be publis-
hed on our education website or in
future issues of FINAT news.
